Beer O'clock Show take over of #CraftBeerHour

Craft Beer Hour - as you well know is a Twitter phenomenon, every Tuesday night at 9 o'clock. Well, this week the lads from the fantastic beer podcast, The Beer O'Clock Show took over as hosts for the hour. This is the doodle I did for them to celebrate the BIG reveal of their latest podcast with an exciting new beer from Harviestoun Brewery!

Wiper and True Small Beer No. 7

This was a bit of a punt in the dark. To be honest I only picked this one up because it's a Bristolian brewery and I like to stay in touch with my roots.  I didn't notice the ABV on this until I got it home and at only a mere 2.9% I wasn't expecting much.  How wrong I was! This is clean and light but has a deliciously fruity nose - tropical fruits, pineapple and fruit pastille.  To taste, it was bicuity with a gentle bitterness and with waves of apple and lemon reflecting the fruity nose.  Really enjoyed this - will definitely be on the lookout for more Wiper and True Small Beers!

Glenmorangie Tùsail, 46% abv

A tasty Highland single malt made with Maris Otter barley - the same barley in Seven by the Bristol Beer Factory. This had an autumnal tone, spicy and light with an earthy ginger tang.  You'll be lucky to hold of a bottle of this! Have a look at the Glenmo range.

Bristol Beer Factory Seven

Bristol Beer Factory Seven 4.5%
This is a great refreshing beer - happily hoppy with toffee and nutty notes. There's a gentle bitterness to it that gives a good amount of depth and flavour. The finish is like a autumnal woodland walk - pithy, sweet and light. Good stuff.

Brewdog Bourbon Baby 2015

Brewdog Bourbon Baby 5.9%
This is ace. Really enjoyed this one.  It's full of vanilla and floral sweetness - there is some balance with a bit of bitter chocolate and a hint of pepper. Its a great dark ruby colour and very very drinkable.  Its available now in all good brewdog bars.

Beavertown Bloody 'Ell IPA

Beavertown Beer: Bloody 'Ell Bloody Orange IPA 7.2% abv
Really enjoyed this beer. It was my first from Beavertown and first canned beer.  I loved the crisp sharp mouthfeel, the balance between sweet and bitter tastes and tropical orangey freshness.
